Trademark Blud biography
Trademark Blud is an award-winning rapper, writer and live performer from Telford, Shropshire. His career has taken him from underground hip hop venues to arenas, festivals, television and radio, while his music has moved between boom bap, grime, bass-heavy hip hop and everything in between. At the centre of it all is the writing — intricate rhyme patterns, wordplay, storytelling and lyrics that reward a second listen.
Live is where Trademark really comes into his own. His shows aren't built around standing on a stage and rapping at people; the crowd becomes part of the performance. He talks to them, responds to them, gets them involved and leaves room for things to happen rather than trying to make every show feel exactly the same. That approach works just as well at a large festival as it does in a small venue or an acoustic set.
Over the years, Trademark has performed at Utilita Arena Birmingham, O2 Birmingham, O2 Islington, The Great Escape Festival, City of Colours, BoomBap Hip Hop Festival and B-Side Hip Hop Festival, as well as performing to an estimated 10,000 people at Telford Balloon Fiesta. His live career has also taken him to Amsterdam and Rotterdam, alongside a 23-date headline UK tour and tours with Bronze Nazareth of Wu-Tang/Wisemen and Rich Quick.
Trademark's passion for social change led him to spearhead workshops on vital issues such as mental health, youth and adult offending, knife crime, and substance abuse. Through his contributions, he aims to educate and inspire individuals to make informed choices, ultimately fostering a better society.
His commitment to supporting musicians and aspiring talents led to the establishment of CultureTainment, a community interest company. With this platform, Trademark provides invaluable resources and opportunities to musicians, empowering them to achieve their goals and fulfil their potential.
On and off the stage, Trademark Blud embodies passion and determination. He continuously pushes the boundaries of rap, injecting innovation and originality into his craft. As one of the most exciting and groundbreaking rappers in the UK, Trademark's impact goes beyond his captivating performances, leaving an indelible mark on both the music industry and society as a whole.
His career has seen him share stages with artists including Kool G Rap, KRS-One, Talib Kweli, Akala, Jeru the Damaja, Dead Prez, Madchild, Ghostface Killah, Logic, CASisDEAD, Little Simz, Rag'n'Bone Man, Stefflon Don, Yungblud, Nova Twins and Dub Pistols. It's a deliberately broad mix, reflecting the fact that Trademark has never been particularly interested in keeping hip hop in one box.
Away from the usual rap circuit, Trademark has also found himself performing in some unexpected places. He performed at Utilita Arena Birmingham as part of the World Trampoline and Gymnastics Championships, created the soundtrack for a major Telford drone show featuring more than 400 drones, and has appeared on BBC One, BBC Midlands Today, BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, BBC 1Xtra and BBC Radio Shropshire, alongside numerous regional broadcasts.
Trademark's story started a long way from the arenas. After experiencing homelessness as a young man and becoming immersed in gang culture, music gave him another route. That history still finds its way into his writing, but it isn't presented as a sob story. It's simply part of the story behind the person who eventually found his way onto those stages.
His determination to keep moving forward has also taken him beyond music. In 2026, Trademark climbed a 1,200ft mountain carrying a PA system while rapping continuously, raising more than £1,300 for charity. Alongside his music, he has also delivered workshops around issues including mental health, offending, knife crime and substance abuse, using his own experiences to engage young people and communities.
Trademark continues to release new music independently, with new projects, collaborations and live performances keeping him firmly active rather than looking back at what he's already achieved. With awards from the AIM Independent Music Awards, Midlands Independent Music Awards, BBC Radio Shropshire and BBC Shropshire Introducing already behind him, the next part of the story is still being written.
